Now given the odd timing of this error with an APP Center update, I first decided to completely upgrade the APP Center.

The system has never had any issues with sleep, hibernation or resuming from sleep, this is typically a cold power-up when I see the power loop. It doesn't even always occur, I think there's probably a 40%-chance maybe on power-off/on. –- I sometimes get a lockup on early-boot in Windows, but typically if the system makes it into Windows, it’ll run normally until it is power-cycled again. After the power is completely removed, I typically can then get the system to boot normally on the next attempt. If that isn’t weird enough, I’ve found that the system will NOT boot normally again until I first use the power supply’s switch (or unplug the main power). The system will remain in this dangerous loop state until I intervene either by holding down the power button for 5+ seconds for a hard-off or by throwing the power switch on the power supply itself. Nothing ever appears on the screen though while in this loop.

On power-up the system is getting into some kind of infinite power cycle loop where I can see the motherboard lights, fans and power supply respond only then to make a clicking sound, presumably from the power supply, and then hard-reset itself.

I’ve built many systems before but I’ve never seen this specific issue develop in an otherwise stable system:Ħ-months in, suspiciously immediately after my first “Gigabyte APP Center” pop-up update via Windows, my system has developed a power-on error.
